Recuerdo que en el colegio, en la asignatura de lengua y literatura, cada tema se iniciaba con una historia corta de una o dos páginas. Una de esas historias estaba protagonizada por un Axolotl, y me enamoré de ese bichuco. Claro, la historia venía ilustrada, no eran fotos, así que pensé que ese ser era inventado, hasta que vi alguno real muchos años más tarde, y morí de amor.

This morning's trike ride followed my usual route until I detoured to the eastville shops. I bought a capaccino then rode back up to Picnic Point. I parked the trike on the grass and did another sketch of the water tower.

Ma Kamvas pro 16 était officiellement prise en charge par Linux, j'ai vérifiée autant sur le site off que dans des forums et des threads... Seulement en vrai le pilote Linux ne prend pas en charge les raccourcis des boutons. J'ai tenté de les assigner avec un tuto mais ça ne marche pas non plus...

While a but of a time capsule, Barry Schwarz's The New Humanism: Art in a Time of Change (1974) remans, 50 years later, a relevant manifesto for humanist art, even if his extensive examples are often of artists whose work fails to transcend the 1970s. His call for a humanist art (contrasted with the formalism of art for art's sake), still resonates & still works as a way of understanding (some) contemporary art practices.

I find great peace, contemplation, and thought at the ocean, which is one reason I enjoy being there, and painting it, so much. May the artwork take you, as well, to a place of peace, contemplation, and thought.

I was strolling through the charming little town of Port Townsend, WA -- you feel as if you have stepped back 75 years or so -- when I encountered this perfect house, with its enchanting view.

"I would like to live in that house," I thought, "but as that isn't a possibility, I will content myself with painting it, and through that, step into its peace and calm."

Indigo just makes everything better!

Even this green that I didn't like alone. With Indigo it harmonizes beautifully. Playing with both lead to painting this frog.

So remember... if you struggle, just paint on. You might like the outcome. :)
