A willfully obtuse approach to the Twitter issue by NYT editor Joseph Kahn: I don't know about this, I don't care about it, we're not involving ourselves in any way, this isn't important, let's move on.
But it is important, and obviously what the NYT does (or in this case does not do – anything at all, even the bare minimum of articulating a knowledgeable response) matters.

Just to state the obvious, the NYT leaving Twitter would not mean "lead the boycott of Twitter or something like that" – you just leave, that's it, it's over. You can then do other things with social media but your business with Twitter is concluded.
